Shape Sorters

Shape sorting toys are a timeless classic — and for good reason. When babies engage with a shape sorter, they’re doing more than just pushing blocks into holes: they’re strengthening hand-eye coordination, developing fine motor skills, and learning problem-solving. Repeatedly fitting different shapes into their matching slots encourages perseverance and spatial reasoning.
Take, for example, a wooden shape-sorting cube. As little fingers grasp each block and gently guide it into place, babies build muscle control and cognitive awareness of shapes. Similar activities, from Likee Montessori toys for baby infant 18+ months to Likee wooden pattern blocks, a Likee wood puzzle, or open ended wooden shape puzzles, can support early learning through simple, focused play.

Stacking / “Cup Fidget” Toys

Our nesting cup toys — sometimes called “cup fidgets” — are perfect for both sensory play and practical learning. Babies can stack the cups, nest them, or even bat them like small balls. This activity supports fine motor development, spatial reasoning, and cause-and-effect understanding.
These cups are great in multiple settings: on the floor, in the bath, or even on travel days. Because they’re durable and lightweight, they’re ideal for little ones who like to explore with their hands, mouths, and imagination.

Sensory & Montessori Cubes

We also offer Montessori-inspired shape-sorting cubes made from safe, non-toxic materials. These designs often include elastic bands, textured shapes, and bright colors, which stimulate tactile exploration and enhance sensory development. These cubes challenge babies to push or pull shapes through elastic or mesh, introducing a gentle learning curve that aligns with Montessori principles of self-directed play and problem solving. As part of our Likee Montessori toys selection, these products work well for baby infant play, sensory exploration, and toddlers 18+ months who are ready for more hands-on discovery.
